How signing up for classes works
First and foremost, our “sign up” process for classes is a little different when compared to other improv theatres, and it’s all centered around you! As opposed to signing up for a class with a group of strangers, YOU get to control who you take classes with! And with the rising cost of improv classes around New York, it really helps to eliminate costly overhead margins! Just join or organize a group to start taking classes with, and then we’re off to the races!
What we provide
• An instructor with experience, pedigree, & joy
• A weekly class schedule & curriculum
• Classroom
• An end-of-class performance show for friends & family (not part of the 8-week class, no additional cost)
• An exceptionally fun time for you & everyone else in class playing fun and silly games, exercises that build muscle memory, and learning the techniques that we’ll play on stage during your class show
What we need from you
Once you have your team/group organized (min 6, max 16)
• fill out THIS form
• provide a few options of dates & times to begin class
• provide the name’s & email addresses of EVERYONE in this class
• list what class you’re signing up for
After payment is remitted, class will begin whenever you’re ready! Hope you’re ready to take a ride into your own imagination!
things to Keep in mind
We will be moving around the space and on our feet for a good portion of class, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing that allows you to move around freely.
Keep an open mind, and be willing to participate - even if you think what we're doing is a little ridiculous - because I promise you that it will be!
This is a judgment-free zone! We ask that all participants commit to providing an inclusive space for all to feel comfortable through the use of inclusive language, respect of personal boundaries, and omission of controversial topics. Any person(s) exhibiting behavior that becomes explicitly non-supportive, judgmental, or problematic might be asked to leave without reimbursement.
